About updating my data and visibility on Vaccines.gov

I was previously visible on Vaccines.gov and I still provide COVID-19 vaccines. I am also a Bridge Access Program provider. Can I have my location show on Vaccines.gov?

Yes. You can still show on vaccines.gov by updating your information using the COVID Locating Health Provider Portal. There is a step-by-step guide (Guidance for Reporting to Vaccines.gov.pdf) located on the Vaccines.gov Provider Resources page that explains what you need to do.

There is a step-by-step guide (Guidance for Reporting to Vaccines.gov.pdf) located on the Vaccines.gov Provider Resources page that explains what you need to do. My jurisdiction/organization no longer reports for me? How can I update my location to show on Vaccines.gov?

Guidance is currently under development for this situation.

How do I update my inventory in Vaccines.gov?

There is a step-by-step guide (Guidance for Reporting to Vaccines.gov.pdf) located on the Vaccines.gov Provider Resources page that explains what you need to do. This guide covers:

  • Jurisdictions/organizations reporting for locations under them.

  • Providers reporting for themselves (manually or via file upload)

Do I have to report accurate inventory numbers?

No. Accurate inventory reporting is no longer required. Updating Quantity (or Current Doses) is optional. However, indicating when vaccines are in stock is required and can be done by setting the In Stock value to “Yes”. This is required to make inventory status visible on Vaccines.gov.

I have been reporting stock status for both COVID-19 vaccines and flu vaccines. Going forward I only want to report stock status for flu vaccines. Can I do this?

Yes. If you are not part of the Bridge Access Program, you can stop reporting COVID-19 vaccines stock status and only report flu vaccine stock status. To do so report all COVID-19 vaccine NDCs as no longer being in stock and your location will not appear in the COVID-19 search experience.

How data displays on Vaccines.gov

Why isn't my location showing on Vaccines.gov?

A vaccine location may not appear for a variety of reasons. See How COVID vaccines display or How Flu vaccines display for details.

How do we remove our location from showing on Vaccines.gov?

See how to set location to display (or not display).

My location's information/inventory status is wrong, how do I fix it?
  • If you are the person assigned to manage data entry through this program (you have a COVID Locating Health Provider Portal account), follow the instructions for managing your location information or entering your COVID inventory / flu inventory.

  • If you are not the person assigned to manage data entry through this program, find out who in your organization is or contact us.

How do we get the "✅appointments available" indicator on Vaccines.gov?

Appointment availability data is pulled into Vaccines.gov via API for providers who can adhere to the Smart Scheduling FHIR specification described here. If you have published your end points or would like to discuss integration contact us.
